The HE1000 sounds like an evolution of sorts. On the HEK, the bass digs deeper, the midrange is more articulate and the treble is more even in its presentation. The vocals sound more like real voices, though the way the HE560 does vocals is also very special. The soundstage is one of the most apparent improvements as it is bigger, more dimensional and projects more evenly from all directions.
I am really glad Hifiman bucked that power equation also and gave us a headphone that delivers satisfying tonality (albeit with less dynamic and resolution) on good quality DAP’s and portable headphones. That is a huge plus and with the advent of the Edition X, a more efficient version of the HE1000, I am really excited to see if the mobile luxury flagship planar can actually be realized.
What do I feel about HE1Ks after several months of listening and tweaking? Simply put, it is the most “safe” and “assuring” flagship headphone in my personal experience to date.
What? $2,999 for headphones? Can they be worth it? Yes, and yes. It’s not just that the Hifiman HE1000 sounds more transparent, spacious, and dynamic than other headphones: With the HE1000, music arrives more intact—there’s more there there.
For me the mere appearance is not important; instead, ergonomics is what I consider fundamental. Now you can forget the weaknesses of HE6: weight, comfort and drive power necessity of this HE1000 has improved considerably compared
HiFiMAN first started out as a simple thought in a young man’s mind. A quasi-vision that was molded, shaped, and revisited a thousand times, until it finally became what we know it as today. They are currently a premier audio component manufacturer, who has opened a massive portal into our lives, which enriches and improves the way that we enjoy our music.
The HE-1000s are the best sounding headphones that I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. They are the closest I have ever experienced to that “alive” feeling of music reproduction that I look for in speakers, from a headphone product.
By now, you should know that stunning music reproduction doesn't exactly come cheap. HiFiMAN may test your limits on quality -- and what you're willing to spend on that quality -- with its latest product, the HE1000. The HE1000 is a new full-size planar magnetic headphone. It's a $3,000 full-size pla
The Audiophiliac previews the ultimate Hifiman model, the HE1000. Last Sunday at the Trump SoHo New York hotel I heard a preview of a new pair of high-end headphones from Hifiman , the HE1000, and they were easily the best I've heard from that company. Hifiman founder and CEO Fang Bian wearing his H
It's no secret to InnerFidelity readers that I've had a hard time with HiFiMAN headphones—they tend to be too bright for me personally and I just can't get excited enough to review them. On the other hand, I thought the HE-500 was an excellent value and was strongly competitive at its price. Li
